Here’s the inaugural episode of Credgecast, on the topic of “Overrated Pop Culture.” Maybe we’ll work out all the kinks eventually, maybe not. Either way, let us know how much you hate us!

The Winds of a Thousand Tomorrows!

Welcome to Credgecast, which is a general pop-culture podcast run by Jordan Posner and Joey DiFranco.

Now, you may be asking yourself, “There are literally millions of pop culture podcasts out there. Why should anyone listen to ours?”

First of all, what kind of person are you, with all this endless time to listen to podcasts? You should get a job and stop dealing pot out of your parents’ basement. They totally know you’re doing it, but lack the energy to deal with you anymore, as you have been a loser your entire life and they are exhausted.

So, here are some compelling reasons to listen to ours.

1. We both have soothing voices. Jordan won the 2003 NAACP Image Award for “Velvety-est Voice,” which is really saying something, as he is white. Joey was the original voice of television’s “Kitt” and can be heard on the audio recording of the novel A Separate Peace, by John Knowles.

2. We know what we’re talking about. Joey has a film degree, and Jordan has an English/Law degree. Thus, we can provide different perspectives, and even get into arguments and call each other “dickheads.”

3. This one is really important: We aren’t trying to be cool. Nothing is more exhausting than someone who seeks general acceptance, and that ship sailed for us a long time ago.

So look forward to the first installment, coming sometime next week. The topic is either going to be “Breakup Albums,” “Things We Like, But Shouldn’t,” or “The Most Overrated Works of Popular Culture.

Until then, may the Lord bless you and keep you.
